Car Seat Guidelines

At Marysville Primary Care, we deeply care about children’s safety while they ride in the car. We stress the importance for children to have proper car seats and for parents to be educated on this issue, in order to protect children from fatal injuries caused by car accidents. In our efforts to improve the safety of children, we have written an article of guidelines for parents.

Our Kids and Media Use

We know that the hours kids spend in front of screens – phones, TVs, video games, computers – can contribute to pediatric obesity, poor sleep, and mental health issues. However, screens can also provide education, social interaction, and entertainment and can be beneficial in appropriate settings and dosing.

Appointments & Referrals

You can speak with a nurse Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm regarding prescription refills, scheduling appointments, requesting a referral, or discuss any medical concerns. If all of the nurses are on the phone with other patients, you will have the opportunity to leave a message with their voice mail. The nurses check their voicemail routinely and try to return your calls promptly. A 24 hours notice when canceling an appointment is appreciated.

When leaving a message, please clearly state:  Your full name (please spell your first and last name) and the patient's full name, if different, date of birth, home telephone number or a telephone number where we can return your call and appropriate time to call if needed, medication allergies, pharmacy name and phone number.

You Don't Have to Suffer from Your Allergies

Allergies are different for everyone. They can range in severity from a minor seasonal inconvenience to a life-threatening emergency. No matter how your allergies affect you, when you call our office, we know you are serious about feeling better and will offer compassionate and cost-effective care.

Dr. Peter Mustillo is board certified in Allergy and Immunology, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. As an Allergist, he is trained to determine the cause of your allergies, which may be related to foods, environmental factors (such as pollen), drugs, or topical substances. Allergy testing might be ordered to help make this assessment.

Once the cause of your allergic reactions is clear, Dr. Mustillo will be able to create a treatment plan that’s right for you or your child. Often, avoidance of the environment causing the reaction will be suggested. Other times, a readily available, over-the-counter medication may be all that you need. Occasionally, patients require a combination of prescriptions and allergy shots for severe allergy symptoms. Whatever your treatment plan looks like, rest assured that your allergist will create it with your comfort and lifestyle in mind.
