We are committed to providing you and your children with top-quality pediatric care. We do this in three main ways:

Staying Up-To-Date

We have a great understanding of the field of pediatrics and stay up-to-date with advances. We handle many medical problems ourselves, but also have a strong relationship with Nationwide Children's Hospital so, if needed, specialists are just a phone call away.

Getting Personal

We strive to foster a personal relationship with all of our patients and their families. These strong connections allow us to work together as partners in your children's healthcare. In order to do this, we encourage you to see your regular doctor as often as possible at your visits.

Patient Education

Another way we provide top quality care is through EDUCATION. We want our patients and their parents to understand their illness (be it asthma, an ear infection, or a cold) and treatment (be it medication or not). Through education, we enable you to take a more active role in your child's care.

Lyme Disease Information

Summer is a prime time for outdoor fun and for ticks! Because Lyme disease can spread to humans through tick bites, it's important to take precautions when you're outdoors. To help you understand more about how to stay safe this summer, we created a guide for you to reference! Check out our article to learn more about the causes and symptoms of Lyme disease, how you can prevent it, and ways to check for ticks.

Practice Overview

When searching for a Pediatrician in Columbus, look no further than Building Blocks Pediatrics! Proudly serving patients throughout central Ohio including Columbus, Reynoldsburg and Gahanna.

Prescription Policies and Information

Please call during normal business hours for prescription refills.  In general, we will not approve telephone refills for patients who have not had a complete physical examination within one year.

Have the following information available when calling the office:

  • Your child's name
  • The name of the drug
  • The dosage of the prescription
  • The pharmacy name, address and telephone number

Please allow 24 hours for the prescription to be called in.

We do not prescribe antibiotics over the telephone.  We also do not prescribe controlled substances (such as narcotic pain medications or many behavioral medications) over the telephone.

Pediatric Nutrition Classes

Is your child a COPC pediatric patient? If so, our free classes can help you learn practical tips to improve your family's nutrition! Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionist facilitates each class and will give you the most up-to-date recommendations for your growing child. Children who attend will be engaged with activities and food samples to help expand their knowledge as well as their palate. Check out our pediatric nutrition page to see how you can get started!

Pediatric Support Centers

Our Support Center provides care to COPC families that’s exceptionally better than the traditional Emergency Room and Urgent Care experience, at a significantly lower cost. Scheduling an appointment (through your child’s COPC pediatrician) with our Pediatric Support Center allows your child to be seen by one of our outstanding pediatricians after typical office hours and on weekends.
