About Building Blocks Pediatrics

When searching for a Pediatrician in Columbus, look no further than Building Blocks Pediatrics! Proudly serving patients throughout central Ohio including Columbus, Reynoldsburg and Gahanna. We are committed to providing you and your children with top-quality pediatric care. We do this in three main ways:

Getting Personal

We strive to foster a personal relationship with all of our patients and their families. These strong connections allow us to work together as partners in your children's healthcare. In order to do this, we encourage you to see your regular doctor as often as possible at your visits.

Patient Education

Another way we provide top quality care is through EDUCATION. We want our patients and their parents to understand their illness (be it asthma, an ear infection, or a cold) and treatment (be it medication or not). Through education, we enable you to take a more active role in your child's care.

Staying Up-To-Date

We have a great understanding of the field of pediatrics and stay up-to-date with advances. We handle many medical problems ourselves, but also have a strong relationship with Nationwide Children's Hospital so, if needed, specialists are just a phone call away.

Prescription Policies and Information

Please call during normal business hours for prescription refills. In general, we will not approve telephone refills for patients who have not had a complete physical examination within one year.

Have the following information available when calling the office:

  • Your child's name
  • The name of the drug
  • The dosage of the prescription
  • The pharmacy name, address and telephone number

Please allow 24 hours for the prescription to be called in.

We do not prescribe antibiotics over the telephone. We also do not prescribe controlled substances (such as narcotic pain medications or many behavioral medications) over the telephone.

Pediatric Support Centers

Our Support Center provides care to COPC families that’s exceptionally better than the traditional Emergency Room and Urgent Care experience, at a significantly lower cost. Scheduling an appointment (through your child’s COPC pediatrician) with our Pediatric Support Center allows your child to be seen by one of our outstanding pediatricians after typical office hours and on weekends.
