Quarterly Newsletter Vol 1: June 2019
Please join us in welcoming our newest team members, Trinity and Devona.
Trinity is a Medical Assistant and Devona is a Front Desk Receptionist.
Both joined our practice this spring. Welcome to the team!
Sadly, we prepare to say goodbye to Karina, who has worked as a Receptionist
for our office for the past 8 years. Karina will be devoting more time to
her family as a stay-at-home mom and will be leaving our practice in June.
Karina is fluent in Spanish and has been such an asset to our Spanish speaking patients.
Patients who need interpretive services will need to utilize the services of the
Language Line, 800-752-6096, when calling the office to schedule appointments or with medical concerns.
The COPCP patient portal is an excellent resource for patients as well.
Patients who are enrolled in the patient portal can view their test results and communicate
directly with their physician through the messaging application.
Ask our staff how you can enroll in the COPCP patient portal.
You may also see many other new faces around the office. To aid in our expanding team, we are utilizing the help of the COPC Float Pool. These staff members are trained by our central office to step into any of our clinics or front office positions throughout Central Ohio Primary Care.
For several months now, we have asked patients to call ahead to schedule their lab
appointments for blood draws, injections and immunizations. This process allows us
to better manage the volume of lab patients with patients who have scheduled appointments
with a physician, and hopefully, reduce your wait time. Our lab hours are every weekday
morning, with the exception of Tuesdays, from 8:30-11:00 (the lab is closed on Tuesday
mornings) and every weekday afternoon from 1:30-4:00. Walk-in appointments are discouraged.
Central Ohio Primary Care was founded in 1996 when a group of 33 physicians joined together to give
greater focus on patient care. Today we have more than 70 practices and serve more than 400,000 patients.
We have grown beyond the primary care office. We have a hospitalist team with physicians across the region,
we’re opening more Same Day Centers and are expanding our ancillary services. We are leading the nation with
a system that supports the entire care of each COPC patient. A model we believe is THE BEST FOR PRIMARY CARE.
Our staff is proud to be part of this wonderful organization and we hope it shows in the care and services
we provide to our patients every day.
If you have Medicare or a Medicare Advantage Plan, do not forget to schedule your Annual Wellness Exam.
Annual wellness visits are covered 100% by Medicare and Medicare Advantage Plans, which makes it one
of the most valuable Medicare benefits. This is your opportunity to meet with your doctor to discuss a
care plan based on your current health and risk factors. This is not a physical examination, nor is it a
medical office visit and no lab tests are required. These visits focus on wellness and prevention
rather than illness, and your doctor will make personal health recommendations.
Each quarter we will recognize a staff member who demonstrates “Best Of” behaviors in their day to day interactions with
our patients, physicians, and co-workers. This quarter we are pleased to recognize one of our Medical Assistants, Brandy.
Brandy began her career at COPC in 2011. She joined Dublin Internal Medicine in 2016. Brandy is the Medical Assistant for
Dr. Kloda. Brandy lives in Lancaster (yes, she drives from Lancaster to Dublin every day!) with her husband and 3 year old daughter.
She is always lending a helping hand to our newest staff members making sure they have what they need throughout the day. Brandy
readily volunteers whenever she sees extra assistance is needed. She is responsive to her patients and strives to be one step
ahead of Dr. Kloda so that his schedule runs smoothly. Thank you Brandy for all your efforts!
