J. William Wulf, M.D.

CEO


Dr. Wulf graduated from The Medical College of Ohio in 1985 and is board certified in Internal Medicine. In 1996, he became one of the founding members of COPC and was named Corporate Medical Director in 2007.

Dr. Wulf's clinical interests are preventive care, population management and maintaining a continuum of care for our COPC patients. He is married with four daughters and enjoys fishing and hiking.

Michael Ashanin

Chief Operating Officer


Michael Ashanin joined Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians in March of 2003. He was named Chief Operating Officer in 2008. In this role, he provides leadership in the areas of payer contracting, ancillary services, network development, physician recruiting, and practice operations.

Prior to joining Central Ohio Primary Care, he was the Payer Contracting Manager for American Health Network of Indiana and Ohio. Previously, he was the clinic manager for the University of New Mexico Senior Health, Westside, and Sandia Pueblo Health Centers.

Mr. Ashanin holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of New Mexico, and a bachelor’s degree from Butler University. He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Medical Group Management Association. He resides in Lewis Center with his wife and two children.

T. Laurence Blosser, M.D.

Corporate Medical Director for Outpatient Services


Dr. Blosser graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1981. He completed a residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Methodist hospital and is Board Certified in Family Medicine. In 2004 he became the COPC Outpatient Medical Director where he focuses on Quality of Care and clinical programs for COPC.

Donald Deep, M.D.

Inpatient Medical Director


Dr. Deep graduated from NEOUCOM in 1994 and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1997. He joined COPC in 1997 and immediately began a career focused on Inpatient Medicine. He helped establish and develop the COPC Hospitalist that is an integral part of COPC. The Hospitalist practice has grown into a group of over 75 providers currently covering 5 sites across Columbus.

Dr. Deep is board certified in Internal Medicine and also has an additional board certification in Focus Practice of Hospital Medicine. He is currently the President of the Medical Staff of Riverside Methodist Hospital and is past Chairman of the Department of Medicine.

Robert L. Stone, M.D.

Medical Director CPC+


Dr. Stone is a lifelong native of Worthington where he completed High School in 1985. He then attended Case Western Reserve University where he graduated with honors in Biochemistry and Chemistry. He went to medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine graduating in 1993 followed by completion of a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan in 1996.

The appeal of working in primary care had always been an interest for him largely due to the influence of his mother, Dr. Linda Stone, a well known Family Practice physician in Columbus and after finishing residency Dr. Stone returned to Central Ohio where he enjoyed over 21 years of clinical practice. Most of this time was after joining COPC in 1998 at the Central Ohio Medicine site where he worked with a great group of physicians / partners and staff. During that time he also had the honor of serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for COPC and as the president of COPC from July of 2012 through March of 2017.

He is currently working to advance the efforts of COPC in population health and serves as the Medical Director for Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC+). Dr. Stone lives in Worthington with his wife Jennifer and 2 children. In his spare time he enjoys photography, astronomy, and especially spending time with his kids.

S​cott Reinard

Chief Financial Officer


Scott A. Reinard became the Chief Financial Officer for Central Ohio Primary Care in September of 2007. Prior to that, Scott started with Central Ohio Primary Care as Controller, in April of 2004.

Before joining Central Ohio Primary Care, Scott was the controller of a behavioral health subsidiary of a large Chicago metropolitan health system.

Scott obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Loyola University, Chicago. In 2010, Scott was awarded a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Fisher College of Business from The Ohio State University. In 2011, Scott was also selected as a finalist in the Columbus Business First CFO of The Year award.

Angelo Mazzocco

Chief Information Officer


Angelo Mazzocco joined Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians in June of 2014 as Chief Information Officer. In this role, he provides leadership in the areas of information systems, information technology, business continuation, and project management.

Prior to joining Central Ohio Primary Care, he was the President of Pillar Technology Group. Previously, he was the Chief Information Officer at Progressive Medical and the Dispatch Companies.

Grace Schmitt

Chief Human Resources Officer


Grace Schmitt, Chief Human Resources Officer, joined COPC in March of 2018.  In this role, she provides leadership over talent acquisition, talent management, training and development, benefits administration, employment practices compliance and human resources administration. Prior to joining COPC, Grace served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at WP Glimcher, as well as in other HR leadership roles at both Findley Davies and CASTO.  She has spent her career focused on creating best in class teams of associates and building and retaining positive company cultures. Grace holds a Business degree with a Marketing focus from the University of North Texas. She obtained her law degree at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. She is also a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio. Grace grew up in a military family, and currently resides in New Albany, OH with her husband and 2 teenage sons.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with friends and family in Florida at the beach at Point Estero and on Apple Valley Lake in Ohio.

Judi Hatcher

General Counsel


General Counsel since 1997. Before joining COPC, Judi practiced in her own law firm for five years. Prior to that time she worked for a publicly traded, national HMO for ten years, initially in provider contracting and in government relations. Ultimately, Judi reported to the General Counsel. She did extensive traveling for the company during that time and interacted with various state Departments of Insurance and Health.

After graduating from law school, she worked for the Ohio Department of Insurance in the HMO division. She obtained her Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School and was awarded the Order of Barristers. She was a member of the National Moot Court Team. Judi has a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree from Ohio Northern University with a major in political science. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio and Indiana as well before the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.

Nancy Falk

Deputy General Counsel


Nancy joined Central Ohio Primary Care in May 2016 as the Associate General Counsel. After working for two national law firms, Nancy worked as the Associate General Counsel and Director of Health Policy at the Ohio Hospital Association and later as the General Counsel at PrimaryOne Health, a federally qualified health center.

Nancy obtained her JD from the University of Michigan Law School and received her BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan where she was part of the Honors Program. Nancy is licensed to practice law in Ohio and admitted to the United States Federal Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Federal Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the Ohio Court of Appeals.

Deb Chandler

Director of Revenue Cycle


Deb Chandler graduated from Cedarville University with a BA in Education. After teaching school for several years, she began her career in the medical field. She has been a part of COPC since its inception, working as a site manager for two different COPC offices before moving to the Central Business Office.

Deb became a Certified Professional Coder in 2003, and has subsequently earned certifications as an Advanced Coding Specialist in Evaluation and Management Coding, an Advanced Coding Specialist in Family Medicine and Pediatric Coding, and a Certified Compliance Professional. She serves on the National Advisory Board for Evaluation and Management Coding with the Board of Medical Specialty Coding.

Robert Strohl

Director of Health Informatics


Robert joined Central Ohio Primary Care in November of 2001 as the Lead IT Administrator. In 2005, Robert became the EHR Project Manager. His primary responsibility was to implement an organization wide conversion from a paper based system to an electronic health record system.

In 2008, Rob became the Director of Health Informatics. Robert’s additional responsibilities included facilitating a strategic healthcare presence at regional, state and national levels for Central Ohio Primary Care. Robert is on the Board of Directors for Central Ohio Health Information Exchange. Additionally, Robert is the Co Chair of the eRx Quality Improvement Committee and the EPCS (Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances) Committee with the Ohio Health Information Partnership.

The focus of these committees is to promote electronic prescribing quality and facilitate e-prescription of controlled substances in the State of Ohio. Robert is also involved at the national level with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) – chairing two committees on Meaningful Use interpretation and education as well as currently serving as chair of the ONC Meaningful Use Community of Practice Advisory Board. Currently Robert is actively involved with the implementation of a new EHR / PM platform for COPCP and facilitating the achievement of Meaningful Use and other quality initiatives for the physicians of Central Ohio Primary Care.

Kathy Fazio

Compliance Officer


Kathy Fazio joined COPC as the Compliance Officer in September 2013. Kathy has over 30 years of healthcare leadership experience in HIPAA Privacy/Security, Compliance, Health Information Management, Quality Improvement, and Case Management.She has held leadership roles at OhioHealth, the Tenet South Florida Health System and Doctors Hospital. Kathy also served as a Visiting Professor for DeVry University Online for 7 years and is a frequent guest lecturer in the Health Information Management Program at The Ohio State University. Kathy received a master’s degree in Health Care Administration from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from The Ohio State University. Kathy holds the following credentials: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA). She holds credentials as a registered health information administrator (RHIA) and is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC).

Judy Minaudo

Quality Improvement and Care Coordination Manager


Judy Minaudo joined Central Ohio Primary Care in early 2008. She has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. She spent her early years as a critical care nurse, and over two decades in practice management. She currently manages both the Quality Improvement and Care Coordination Manager at the corporate office of Central Ohio Primary Care (COPC) in Columbus. 

As a corporate manager, Judy successfully trained and submitted 44 primary care practices for PCMH Level 3 certification from 2010-2014. She spent the last seven years developing the Quality Improvement Department, where she oversees both the Quality Nursing staff and the Care Coordination teams. Her main focus is Population Health.


Joseph Pietrusik

Director of Operations


Joe Pietrusik joined COPC in May 2013 and serves as the Director of Finance, overseeing both the accounting and revenue cycle areas. Before joining Central Ohio Primary Care, Joe worked 13 years for the OhioHealth System, initially working with physician practices as finance director and then working for 11 years with the system’s home health care agency, serving first as Director of Finance and then as Vice-President of Operations.

Joe obtained his undergraduate degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and is a certified public accountant.

Marianne Hanson

Marketing and Communications Manager


Marianne Hanson became the Marketing and Communications manager for Central Ohio Primary Care in February of 2011. She is past owner of Market Reach Design, a graphic design company she founded in 1993. She worked with companies and individuals with marketing materials while always managing the business side of her company.

Marianne obtained her journalism degree from The University of Wyoming. Her hobbies include golfing, gardening and returning to Wyoming to fly fish with family.
