Physical Therapy Services

What to Expect

Your first visit will take anywhere from 45 minutes to 60 minutes and will consist of an evaluation/examination, and may include treatment and exercises. From there, follow-up appointments will be designed and scheduled to continue the action plan jointly developed by you and the Physical Therapist.

What to Bring

  • Shorts or loose fitting pants for back or lower extremity evaluations.
  • Loose fitting top or tank top for neck or upper extremity evaluations.
  • Supportive and sturdy footwear, such as athletic shoes.
  • If you are a minor, you will need to be accompanied by a legal guardian for your first appointment.
  • Reading glasses if needed.

How to Follow Through

The focus of our program is to use patient feedback in order to better accomodate their needs and improve our program.   • I was unable to walk without extreme left hip pain. Had upcoming overseas trip in ten days. After two visits with Kevin I felt great. Walked an average five miles a day for nearly three weeks in southern France with zero problems. His prescribed exercise regime prevented any reoccurrence of previous problems. Kevin is fantastic!

Meet the Physical Therapy Team

Mary Kay Rohrkemper

MS, AT-Ret, PT

Mary Kay Rohrkemper is currently the Physical Therapy Manager for Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians Physical Therapy. Mary Kay worked as a high school teacher for five years and a high school athletic trainer for 15 years before earning her physical therapy degree. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of Dayton, Master of Science degree with a specialization in Athletic Training from Ohio University and Master of Physical Therapy degree from Andrews University.

Mary Kay’s career has been dedicated to helping her patients reach their maximum potential whether that is as a professional athlete, weekend warrior, or being able to walk without pain or fear of falling. She has extensive experience working with patients with orthopedic problems as well as balance disorders. Mary Kay has lectured at local and national conferences on a variety of topics in the area of outpatient physical therapy and athletic training.

Laura Leland


Laura Leland graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis, after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology. She has been working in Outpatient General Orthopedics and Sports Medicine clinics since graduating in 2005. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2005 and this has aided her in rehabilitating and training a diverse range in patient population from the adolescent to the geriatric, and the sedentary to the active.

Her Philosophy of giving her patients tools to achieve success is supported by a compassionate and motivating atmosphere where people will feel successful and safe to achieve their goals and regain confidence in their function. Teaching her patients how to maintain and manage their condition and well-being as an active participant in Physical Therapy is key to success.

Laura has been an active person her entire life and enjoys aiding others in their success and return to activity and independence.

Alyssa Goins


Alyssa graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The Ohio State University, after receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences. She believes in a patient-centered approach to treatment by collaborating with patients to help them achieve their individual goals. Alyssa strives to provide high quality care by motivating and educating her patients to improve their overall function and quality of life.

Kevin Do


Kevin Do graduated from The Ohio State University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s in Science in Exercise Science and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis in 2015.  His clinical interests include working with overhead athletes, and providing comprehensive training programs encompassing essential mobility, stability, and strengthening exercises to enhance performance and improve lower extremity biomechanics in the everyday athlete. He is certified in Integrative Dry Needling, and utilizes manual therapy in conjunction with exercise to help restore functional movement patterns.  His empathetic and compassionate care empowers the patient and helps hold them accountable for their own care. Kevin enjoys being active and volunteering in the community, serving as a powerlifting coach for the Franklin County Special Olympics.

Alice Rozic


Alice holds degrees in Microbiology, Exercise Science, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has extensive experience in collegiate and medical school teaching including lab research at collegiate level prior to her training in physical therapy. She has a keen interest in helping her patients decrease their pain and assisting them in being successful with their physical activities.

Megan Lammers


Megan earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Findlay, after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from The Ohio State University. She believes in providing empathetic, compassionate care, and takes the time to understand her patients and their goals for physical therapy. With a combination of exercise, education, and hands-on treatment techniques, Megan helps patients learn how to manage their conditions and care for their bodies. She is committed to being a life-long learner and strives to provide the highest quality of care that all patients deserve. 

Erin Doone


Erin graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Washington University after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. She strives to provide patient-centered care, focusing on helping patients return to what they love to do and reach their specific goals. She is always looking to improve her skills and clinical expertise with the latest research. Her treatment philosophies are concentrated on providing patients with the appropriate tools to aid in their own rehabilitation in the present and the knowledge to prevent future injuries. Erin is a former collegiate soccer player turned runner who loves sports and being outdoors. Go Irish!

Cindy Aurand


Cindy is a 1981 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including acute care, skilled nursing, home health, and outpatient. She strives to work together with patients to achieve individualized rehab goals that help them maximize their abilities in their daily lives.

Wendy Billings


Wendy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in physical therapy in 1993 from Bowling Green State University, in consortium with the Medical College of Ohio.  She received her certified strength and conditioning certification from the NSCA in 2004. She has an extensive history in industrial rehab utilizing a whole body approach to patient care while teaching them the necessary strategies to manage their condition, for return to sport/work/life in the most efficient and fun manner.  She is caring and passionate about healthy living and enjoys open communication with patients and physicians. She is an avid ultra-endurance gravel and road cyclist, runner and enjoys personal training others to accomplish their goals. When she’s not working or training, she enjoys her family and 2 dogs.  She is also a strong advocate for those with disabilities in the community, inspired by her son, who has cerebral palsy and autism.

Christine Geller


Christie Geller earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from The University of Dayton prior to completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Shawnee State University.  She has worked as a PTA for the last five years in both the outpatient and skilled nursing environments.  Prior to her time with COPCP, she spent six years in the corporate wellness profession managing an onsite employee wellness center.  Christie has a passion for helping her patients return to their prior level of function and enhance their overall quality of life.

Lindsay Wade


Lindsay Wade earned a Master’s degree in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University prior to completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program from Marion Technical College.  She has experience working with a range of patients in the outpatient orthopedic setting.  Lindsay strives to help her patients regain strength and mobility to better enjoy their lives.

Lisa Bosserman


Lisa is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant with 28 years of clinical experience.  The combination of her clinical experience and knowledge of current research and practice concepts enable her to provide the highest quality of care.  She enjoys helping patients to recover beyond pain relief and to help them live, work, and play with greater confidence and ease.  She is a graduate of Central Ohio Technical College. 

Amy Beaver


Amy graduated from University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science prior to completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program at North Central State College.  She has worked in Industrial and Outpatient settings since graduating. Amy enjoys helping her patients recover from their injuries and to help improve their quality of life.

Ann Cooper-Milne


Ann Cooper-Milne is a Certified Athletic Trainer & Physical Therapist Assistant with 13 years of experience. Ann earned her Bachelor Degree in Athletic Training from Wilmington College in 2004 and her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from Clark State Community College in 2009. Ann has primarily worked in the outpatient setting, with her most recent experience working in a spine specialty clinic. Ann is also trained in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), and is a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist. Ann’s philosophy is to treat all patients individually and address their personal goals, while providing them with the knowledge and skills to prevent future injuries.

Heather Cordell


Heather Cordell is a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant completing her degree at The Bradford School in 2015. She has experience in outpatient, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Heather enjoys working with all ages providing high quality care, motivation and a positive experience in working towards improving the quality of life and returning to prior function.

Caroline Buffenbarger


Caroline Buffenbarger earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University prior to completing the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Baker College. She has experience in both orthopedic outpatient and skilled nursing settings. Caroline strives to make physical therapy an enjoyable experience for everyone and has a passion for helping her patients achieve their goals in order to optimize their quality of life. 

Kelly Smith


Kelly Smith is a Licensed Athletic Trainer and a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. Kelly earned her Master’s degree from Ohio University in Athletic Training, her Bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University in Sports Medicine and her Associates degree of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Hocking College. Kelly has 29 years of experience, mostly in the outpatient orthopedic setting.

Kelly has helped athletes rebound back to their sports, injured workers return to their jobs, patients after surgery to get back to their normal daily activities. Kelly has helped patients of all ages get up from a chair, take more steps with greater ease and educated them about better body mechanics to help decrease their pain.

Leah Burleson

Front Office Coordinator

With over 25 years of customer service experience, Leah hopes to make your journey with COPC a smooth one and to ensure you receive the highest quality of care. Outside of COPC, Leah has two children as well as a small zoo consisting of two mini Australian Shepherds, a frog, gecko, anole, and sand boa. She loves spending time with her family and really enjoys cooking.  

Terri Black

Front Desk

Terri joined the Physical Therapy team August, 2017 with 13 years of experience in pain management and medical transcription. Her goal is to assist in providing a positive experience to our COPC patients. When she is not at work, Terri enjoys playing with her two dogs, spending time with family and spoiling her two grandchildren.  

Pamela Avery

Front Desk

I started my career off as a Medical Assistant but later transitioned to the front office. With over 20 years of experience working in customer service. I understand that it is essential for every patient to receive excellent customer service, and as an employee of COPC that is my goal. When I’m not working I enjoy relaxing and being around family and friends.

Terie Henderson

Front Desk

Terie is at the Front Desk and will always greet you with a smile. She has over 25 years of customer service experience which she uses to help make our patients experience with Physical Therapy as easy as possible, helping them concentrate on feeling better quickly.
