COVID-19 Information for Building Blocks Pediatrics

Please note

If you or someone in your household is experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, new or worsened cough, loss of taste or smell, nasal congestion or runny nose, headaches, body aches, new or worsened fatigue, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, your household should quarantine immediately. The symptomatic individual may need to be tested for COVID-19 while the household continues to quarantine until the test result comes back. If the test is negative, continue with social distancing, wearing masks, and hand washing. The household needs to monitor symptoms daily.

If the test is positive, your entire household must quarantine for 10 days from the first day the positive family member developed COVID-19 symptoms. Should a family member develop symptoms during those 10 days, they should be tested for COVID-19, too. Patients experiencing symptoms need to be tested, as it will change the length of the family’s quarantine.

Patients who are NOT experiencing any symptoms will NOT be tested. This is because a negative result will NOT change the length of the family’s 10 day quarantine.
